Appply Now GCE High SchoolThe GCE Team practices consistent and meaningful student feedback.  All GCE Learning Units are aligned with and exceed the Common Core Standards currently being adopted across the nation, and specifically in Illinois.  GCE awards credits that reflect these standards as the result of a thorough evaluation process.

Students receive formative evaluations throughout each unit and summative evaluations following final presentations at the end of each unit. GCE assessment includes a narrative review of student performance in conjunction with the following calculations:

  • Participation — roughly 30%
  • Preparation — roughly 10%
  • Performance (milestone projects, tests, quizzes, essays, etc.) — roughly 60%
