Admissions Process
The Admissions staff works collaboratively with the faculty, school counselor, and director, to facilitate an admissions process that is professional, meaningful and pedagogically sound. The most important criterion is that the family value and support the GCE educational philosophy. It is also important to ascertain if we will be able to meet the needs of the student and the expectations of the family. Students who have a desire to learn and to help others learn are most likely to thrive in the high school.
Applications are reviewed by the admissions committee. In all cases, applicants and their families are required to interview with the admissions committee. The interview is conducted with the admissions advisor, high school faculty, school counselor, and the director. Interviews involve both the applicant and his/her parents or guardians and range in length from 45 to 75 minutes. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
Admission decisions are made by the admissions committee. In order to receive a decision, the applicant must submit all required admissions documents to the admissions committee. Notification will be sent in writing within 30 days of receipt of a complete application or as soon as possible once a decision has been made for late or mid-year applicants.
