Professional Development: Connections and Extensions

GCE is both a venue and customizable template for professional development.  Your faculty can do summer residences with the GCE Summer Institute and YOUR GCE uses our model to coach your staff, on site, at times that work for you, and with resources and topics tailored for your goals.

There are many questions that we ask in order to customize YOUR GCE and to design the ideal professional development program for your staff and faculty.  The first of these questions are listed below the following goals:

  • Accurately identify your needs
  • Increase your institutional knowledge (faculty teaching skills, integrated curriculum, use of technology etc)
  • Bolster the range and quality of your programs
  • Enhance your foot-hold in the community
  • Empower your stakeholders (students, parents, faculty & staff, etc.)
