The GCE Team emphasizes and values consistent and meaningful student feedback in a range of formats including writing conferences, discussion, peer critique, and self-evaluation. In addition, all GCE Learning Units are aligned with and exceed the Core Curriculum currently being adopted across the nation, and specifically in Illinois. GCE gives grades that reflect these standards as part of a thorough evaluation system.

Students receive formative evaluations throughout each unit and summative evaluations following final presentations at the end of each unit. GCE evaluations consist of the six categories listed below, each with its own rubric.
