GCE SY LI students earn high school credits recognized by colleges, universities and other high schools.  GCE SY LI course curriculum and requirements exceed Illinois State Board of Education graduation credits and standards.

The process for new schools to become accredited by education associations takes several years.  However, GCE has begun the process and is actively engaged in the pursuit of recognition/membership from the following associations/governing bodies:

  • State of Illinois: GCE has submitted its “registration” paperwork with the State of Illinois.  Two full years of school operations are required before GCE can gain State “Recognition” (the next phase).  GCE is compliant with all Illinois State Board of Ed requirements.
  • Fieldwork Education: GCE is pursuing international accreditation as a “learning focused” school.   This intensive process helps structure our ongoing self-evaluation and innovation initiatives.
  • NIPSA (National Independent Private School Association): The “only [association] for educators who are also entrepreneurs.”  GCE is a pursuing candidacy in 2010 as part of the multi-year process of becoming an accredited member.
