The GCE Foundation was founded in May 2011 with the core belief that schools must provide engaging and relevant connections between academic and real-world applications, and that this can be achieved through global diversity in our classrooms, collaboration with community organizations, and best-practice instruction using local and global resources.

The Foundation promotes global citizenship through funding in the following three areas: merit scholarships for low-income youth, continuing education scholarships for educators, and community programming.
